Financing for your situation
When buying, during a repair, to free up capital or to sell a truck to one of your drivers.
- Acquire Equipment financing Add or replace trucks and machinery, through a lease or a term loan.
- Repair Repair financing Spread out a major repair while the truck is off the road.
- Free up capital Equipment refinancing Turn paid-off equipment into working capital.
- Sell Accommodation sale Sell a truck to one of your drivers, with the buyer's financing included.
By equipment
New or used, through a lease or a loan. Each lender has its own criteria by type of equipment; we compare them for you.
One of your drivers wants to buy back their truck?
As soon as financing is involved, the law requires the sale to go through a licensed dealer. We handle the transaction as an accommodation sale, check the RDPRM and finance your driver.
- Your business
- Receives the sale price. The balance still owed on the truck is paid off to the lender.
- Your driver
- Becomes the owner, financing included, and registers the vehicle.
- The lender
- Obtains its security on the truck, registered at the RDPRM.
Leasing and sales taxes
With a purchase, sales taxes are paid in full at delivery. With a lease, they are added to each payment. For a fleet that keeps renewing, that gap keeps working capital in the business.
Leasing in detail| Purchase | Lease | |
|---|---|---|
| Taxes paid at delivery | $26,955 | $0 |
| Taxes on each payment | None | 14.975% of the payment |
| At the end of the term | Owner | Buyout value |
A business registered for GST and QST recovers these taxes either way. Leasing only changes when you pay them.

Can you finance several trucks in the same file?
Yes. Depending on the lender, the equipment in a fleet can be grouped in a single financing or financed separately. Call us to discuss it.
Lease or loan: which should I choose?
With a lease, your business rents the equipment and can buy it at the end of the term through a buyout value. Payments are usually lower, and sales taxes are added to each payment. With a loan, you own the equipment from day one. The right choice depends on your tax situation and your goals: check it with your accountant.
How long does approval take?
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.
Can we get financing with a difficult credit file?
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.
Can one of our drivers buy back their truck?
Yes. Because financing is involved, the sale must go through a dealer holding a SAAQ licence, which is our role. Your business receives the sale price, and your driver leaves as the owner with their financing. See accommodation sales.
Is a down payment required?
It depends on the lender, the type of equipment and your business profile. Some files close without a down payment, others require one. We tell you after reviewing your situation.
Do you finance used equipment?
Yes. We finance used trucks, trailers and machinery, bought from a dealer or a private seller. Each lender has its own age and mileage criteria.
What documents do we need to provide?
It varies by lender and by how long your business has been operating. Generally: information about the business, the equipment you are looking at and its price. One call is enough to know exactly what applies to your file.
