The farm machinery we finance
Farm businesses finance their machinery the same way truckers finance their trucks: through a lease or a loan, new or used. Depending on the equipment, its age and your business history, one lender will be more favourable than another.

| Purchase | Lease | |
|---|---|---|
| Taxes paid at delivery | $37,438 | $0 |
| Taxes on each payment | None | 14.975% of the payment |
| At the end of the term | Owner | Buyout value |
A business registered for GST and QST recovers these taxes either way. Leasing only changes when you pay them.
Lease or term loan
On a machine worth several hundred thousand dollars, a lease spreads sales taxes over the term instead of paying them at delivery. A buyout value, set at signing, makes you the owner at the end.

Lease or loan: which should I choose?
With a lease, your business rents the equipment and can buy it at the end of the term through a buyout value. Payments are usually lower, and sales taxes are added to each payment. With a loan, you own the equipment from day one. The right choice depends on your tax situation and your goals: check it with your accountant.
Do you finance used equipment?
Yes. We finance used trucks, trailers and machinery, bought from a dealer or a private seller. Each lender has its own age and mileage criteria.
Can payments follow a season?
Some lenders offer structures suited to seasonal businesses. Conditions vary by lender and by file, and we will tell you what applies to yours.
Is a down payment required?
It depends on the lender, the type of equipment and your business profile. Some files close without a down payment, others require one. We tell you after reviewing your situation.
